    Endangered SILVER Advisory cancelled, missing Springfield man found safe

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield Police Department (SPD) has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for 86-year-old Melvin Snyder, who went missing Wednesday afternoon.

    SPD says Snyder was last seen at McDonald’s on National Avenue and Republic Road at 3:52 p.m. on October 16 an failed to return home. His white 2010 Toyota Prius bearing Missouri, MESBJS was last seen at 5:17 p.m. on Republic at US Highway 60. His destination and direction of travel are unknown.

    Melvin Snyder is described as a white male who is 5’10”, 130 lbs and has white hair, brown eyes and glasses. He is said to be wearing an unknown color shirt, blue jeans and brown canvas shoes. He has also been diagnosed with dementia.

    Anyone who has info on Snyder or sees Snyder or his vehicle should immediately call 911 or SPD at 417-862-7911.
