    Emergency crews respond to four-alarm fire at Marck Industries in Rogers

    ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: The fire has been upgraded to a four-alarm fire.

    The Rogers Fire Department says it believes the fire has been contained to a more manageable area, but it will continue burning for the next couple of days.

    Crews will continue to battle the fire overnight, and have used more than 90 truckloads, each with about 3,000 gallons of water, to fight the flames.

    The Arkansas Department of Agriculture Forestry division also has provided a bulldozer to keep the fire contained.


    ROGERS, Ark. ( KNWA/KFTA ) — Emergency crews respond to a three-alarm fire at Marck Industries in Rogers.

    A hazardous smoke warning has been issued due to the fire. People with respiratory problems are recommended to seek shelter and shelter in place, according to the alert sent to resident’s phones.

    Rogers fire says a large cardboard fire spread into a building at the recycling plant.

    Officials say there is one minor injury, and that person was taken to the hospital. All employees are accounted for. The source of the fire is under investigation.

    KNWA/FOX24 viewers say the fire can be seen from Bentonville, Pea Ridge and Eureka Springs. Wyatt Puck of Bentonville submitted photos of ash on his car in Bentonville, which can be viewed in the slideshow below.

    Bentonville Fire Department, Pea Ridge Fire Department, Benton County Fire Department, Lowell Fire Department, Springdale Fire Department, Little Flock Fire Department, Avoca Fire Department, Beaver Lake Fire Department, Prairie Grove Fire Department, Farmington Fire Department, Pleasure Heights Fire Department, and Rogers Fire Department all responded to the fire.

    KNWA/FOX24 reached out to Mark Industries’ coporate office. It did not offer a comment, but say they are waiting for word from the local fire department.
