    Branson holds off Log Rog challenge goes to 8-0

    ROGERSVILLE, Mo–Week eight of the high school football season started early Thursday night in Rogersville.

    The 3-4 Wildcats were looking for their third straight win.

    And it would be a major upset.

    At Wildcat Stadium, the 7-0 and seventh-ranked Branson Pirates.

    And Branson gets on the board first, Ryan Giles takes it to the far sideline, and into the end zone from 16 yards out it’s 7-0 Pirates.

    But Rogersville answers, Kasimir Manczuk throws to corner of the end zone, Lucas White makes the catch, a 20-yard touchdown connection we’re tied at seven.

    Branson moves back in front, J.R. Pastrana on the quarterback keeper from a yard out, and it’s 14-7 Pirates.

    Less than a minute late, Branson gets more, after recovering a Rogersville fumble, Smith Quigg scores to make it 21-7.

    But the Wildcats don’t back down, Jacob Shinkarvich scores to make it 21-14.

    But Branson goes to 8-0 with a 56-14 win.
