One Teenager Dead, 4 Underage Passengers Injured In SR 155 Crash
A teenage driver is dead and four underage passengers have been injured from a single vehicle crash on State Route 155 five miles south of Nespelem in Okanogan County. Troopers say a 1999 GMC pickup truck 17-year-old Jaelynn Vallee was northbound just before 9:30 pm Tuesday when Vallee failed to negotiate a curve.

Idaho Governor Brad Little To Tour Destructive Gwen & Texas Fires Thursday
Idaho Governor Brad Little will tour the destructive Gwen and Texas Wildfires in the Juliaetta and Kendrick areas Thursday. Governor Little will fly over the burn scares in a helicopter before speaking with the media in Lapwai. Idaho Department of Lands will release the official numbers on structures lost in the blazes during the briefing. Initial reports announced that dozens of homes were destroyed in the fires. Colter’s Creek Winery South of Juliaetta was consumed in the flames. The fires broke out last month. The Texas Fire near Kendrick was human caused while the Gwen Fire outside Juliaetta was sparked by lightning. The fires are out.

CALDWELL, Idaho (Aug 13, 2024) – A century ago, the citizens of Caldwell, Idaho, got together and hosted a rodeo that now has 100 years of history – and if opening night was any indication, this rodeo has a great future ahead of it. It is the rodeo “Where the Cowboys Are the Stars,” and the star power saw newcomers and seasoned veterans having success in the D&B Arena. When the chute gate opened and Outlaw Buckers’ bareback horse exploded, it was all Trevar McCallister could do to hang on for eight seconds. The 27-year-old from Ronan, Montana, matched the horse move for move and it paid off with an 86-point ride. That probably will not remain in first place for the next three nights, but it does have a chance to see him back for Saturday night’s championships.
