Escaped teenager captured in Post Falls by KCSO deputies
POST FALLS, Idaho — Deputies have arrested the missing teenager that escaped from the District One Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) on June 21. According to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office (KCSO), 15-year-old Caden Schreibeis was arrested after deputies located the teen in a Post Falls residence.

The 15-year-old escaped the detention facility on June 21 with another young person. While the other teenager was quickly detained, law enforcement could not find the teenager detained on Tuesday until he was seen entering a residence in Post Falls.

Kootenai County Search and Rescue starting new drone program
KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — The Kootenai County Volunteer Search and Rescue Unit will be starting a new aerial drone program for search and rescue operations in the county. Kootenai County Fire Chiefs Association adopting "Ready, Set, Go" model for wildfire evacuations
KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — The Kootenai County Fire Chiefs Association unanimously voted to adopt the "Ready, Set, Go" model for wildfire evacuations in the county. The fire association says the new model replaces the Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 system that was previously used for evacuation alerts in the county.

Kootenai County, Idaho (KLEW) — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has announced Caden J. Schreibeis has been found. Schreibeis was spotted entering a residence in the 3000 block of Mountain View Road in Post Falls, Idaho. Officers gave verbal commands for Schreibeis to exit the residence. He complied with those commands and was arrested without incident.
