The circulation around Tropical Storm Emilia absorbed the circulation of former Tropical Storm Fabio on Wednesday afternoon. At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday the center of Tropical Storm Emilia was located at latitude 19.1°N and longitude 117.7°W which put the center about 565 miles (910 km) west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Emilia was moving toward the northwest at 18 m.p.h. (30 km/h). The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h. (130 km/h). The minimum surface pressure was 990 mb.
