The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has posted a Memorial Day recreational forecast for southeast Wyoming. The agency posted the following on its website: Those planning on going to your favorite recreation area, we have the three day forecast for some areas across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Unsettled weather today into Sunday with good chances for showers and afternoon thunderstorms today into Sunday. Our western mountains could see 6-7 inches of snow above 9500 feet. If travelling to these areas, bring cold weather gear. Strong winds possible Sunday. Really nice day expected on your Memorial Day Monday. Please be safe!
Public’s Help Sought In Finding Woman Last Seen In Cheyenne
Local and state authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who was last seen in Cheyenne about a month ago. That's according to a post on the Albany County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. According to the post, Shanna Brubaker was last seen in Cheyenne on April 29. She is described as a 5 foot six inch tall white female weighing 129 pounds with grey eyes and brown hair. When last seen she was wearing green tennis shoes, black or grey jeans, a blue denim jacket, and a cloth on her head.
Former Wyoming Trooper Gets 10-15 Years for Sexual Assault
A former Wyoming Highway Patrol sergeant will spend at least the next decade in prison after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a woman. Laramie County District Court Judge Robin Cooley on Thursday, May 23, sentenced 40-year-old Burns resident Gabriel Lee Testerman to 10 to 15 years in prison for first-degree sexual assault, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than five years nor more than 50 years.
