California Man Arrested For Cheyenne Coin Shop Murders In 2015
A 68-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning in Siskiyou County, California in connection with a July 20, 2015, double homicide at a Cheyenne business. Cheyenne Police Chief Mark Francisco identified the suspect as Douglas Smith of McCloud, California. Francisco says Smith is believed to be the person who made the 911 call reporting an armed robbery at the Coin Shop. When officers arrived at the business at 515 W. Lincolnway in downtown Cheyenne they found the business owner, 67-year-old Dwight Brockman, and his friend, 76-year-old George "Doc" Manley, shot to death.
Wyoming Legion Baseball Scoreboard: June 25-30, 2024
Wyoming’s Legion Baseball season reaches Week 13 of 2024. Three big in-state tournaments in Green River, Gillette, and Cheyenne highlight this week’s slate of games. Eleven teams from Wyoming will participate in those three events. A couple of teams will head to Billings for tournament action, and one is part of a tournament in Nevada. There are 13 conference doubleheaders on this week’s schedule, as well.
Wyoming Legion Baseball Standings: June 24, 2024
The 2024 American Legion baseball season in Wyoming has completed 12 weeks. After conference and tournament games last week, there have been some shifts in the standings. Casper and Cheyenne are now tied atop the AA standings. Lovell moved to the top of the A Northwest division, while Evanston took the lead in the A Southwest. Casper remains on top of the A East. All but four teams have won at least one conference game this season. The standings include all games played through June 23, 2024.

LARAMIE -- No other state has been more of a recruiting hotbed for the University of Wyoming than Colorado. This list will prove that. Numerous UW Hall of Famers, NFL stars and program record holders began their football journey in that square to the south. The Cowboys' top rival, Colorado State, overlooked plenty of these guys. So did CU. Air Force even whiffed a time or two.
