    UPDATE: Essential travel lifted after storm hits Seeley Lake area

    UPDATE: 9 a.m. - August 24, 2024

    The essential travel only advisory issued on Friday evening for the Seeley Lake area has been lifted.

    The advisory was lifted early Saturday morning.

    We will have a reporter in Seeley Lake on Saturday and will have more information on the damage from Friday's storm.

    ORIGINAL REPORT

    A Friday afternoon storm that rolled across the Seeley Lake area brought down trees, branches and power lines.

    An alert sent out by the Missoula 9-1-1 center states crews are working to clear the debris.

    Essential travel only is being advised in Seeley Lake.

    People with life-threatening emergencies should continue to contact 9-1-1.
