Walgreens is Shutting Down These 3 Colorado Locations
There will still be plenty of Walgreens locations in Colorado after these three close down, but for how long?. As of July 2024, there were upwards of 10,000 Walgreens across America, with Colorado having just over 50. However, the number of Colorado locations will drop by three when the company closes "underperforming" stores.
Colorado’s Peach Season Comes Early This Year
While Colorado may not be the state known for its produce, we sure do have some amazing things that come from here. Rocky Ford melons, Olathe sweet corn, and who could forget about Palisade peaches? When it comes to peaches, I could easily pass on any other variety like Georgia peaches. To me, they are just bland.
Potential Nuggets free agent signing struggling badly to regain shooting form
At this point, it almost feels like beating a dead horse to point out how badly the Nuggets need to add shooting. The team attempted the fewest three-point shots last season and they’ve lost two of their highest volume shooters in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Reggie Jackson, plus a bench player who hit at over a 40% clip in Justin Holiday.
Former Denver Nuggets guard signs with division rival
Denver Nuggets fans have not had it easy this offseason. As teams across the league have continued to pick up free agents that could fill various needs for Denver, the 2023 NBA champions have not done much outside of losing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and trading Reggie Jackson to save money. One...

Technically hockey is still being played for one more day, as Development Camp for the Colorado Avalanche continues on Friday, but this next story is very much an off-season one, so be warned. Remember Pierre-Edouard Bellemare? The veteran forward spent two seasons with the Avalanche, and was a fantastic interview...

When audiences make their way to Bravo! Vail this week, a transformed Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater will transport them to Paris of the 1830s with “La Bohème.” It is the second semi-staged opera production at Bravo! Vail, after a successful “Tosca” in 2019. Both beloved...

Inside Faith: Flatirons Church: Influence killers
Our message this week was from one of the pastors at Flatirons named Arron Schoeder. It was a message that challenged us to look at how easily we create enemies. I can identify with that because I find it easy to slip into that attitude of seeing others who disagree with me or have a lifestyle different from me as enemies. For me that is partially because I have learned from those who lead, especially in politics, tend to attack their opponents rather than just simply arguing a point of view. I do it on a smaller but much more important basis. My marriage can become a wreck when I see my wife as the enemy. Shortly after we were married, we went to the Family Life Conference. The first talk on Friday evening was about identifying the true enemy of our marriage. The simple answer is the devil made me do it. But, aside from Flip Wilson’s humor, there was a spiritual truth. The devil is the enemy and would love to destroy every relationship except those who simply use and abuse others. But I believe I also play a role in that. Whenever I find myself in disagreement with my wife on something, I know the right thing to do is ask questions and listen with an ear towards reconciliation. Yet it is so easy to become offended and defensive and argue in favor of my being the innocent one and she, being the villain. Fortunately, my wife is a professional Mental Health Therapist. So, she often sees things a bit more clearly than I. However, I do have a choice. I can no longer claim ignorance. I made a purposeful decision to make her the enemy. That decision hurt my testimony as a person who claims to follow Christ, and it is harmful to my marriage. I still struggle with that from time to time, but it is much better than when we started our journey 43 years ago.
Mishandled bodies, mixed-up remains prompt tougher funeral home regulations
The headlines were the stuff of nightmares. One Colorado funeral home owner let the body of a woman decompose for two years in a hearse parked outside a house he rented, while hoarding the cremated remains of dozens of others inside. Last year, authorities discovered nearly 200 improperly stored bodies at another Colorado funeral home […] The post Mishandled bodies, mixed-up remains prompt tougher funeral home regulations appeared first on Alaska Beacon.
Days only get shorter from here. How early the sun sets from now until Dec. 21
While warm temperatures remain, days are shrinking as we get further away from the summer solstice. On June 21, Colorado had exactly 15 hours of daylight, and come Dec. 21, it will see 9 hours and 21 minutes. The farther from the equator, the more dramatic this change is. But...
