GJT adds new flight

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ( KREX ) — On Monday, the Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) announced the addition of a new flight to and from Salt Lake City (SLC). This flight is returning to GJT after a short break due to a pilot shortage during the pandemic.

There will be four flights daily to and from Salt Lake starting Dec. 3. Two will depart from GJT to SLC and two will depart from SLC to GJT.

Officials with the Grand Junction Regional Air Service Alliance give credit to the people of Mesa County voting to increase the lodging tax back in 2018, saying the revenue from that tax played an instrumental role in bringing this flight back to Grand Junction.
