Coroner identifies woman in fatal highway crash

MESA COUNTY, Colo. ( KREX ) – The Mesa County Coroner’s Office announced Friday the identity and cause of death of the woman involved in Monday’s fatal Colorado Highway 141 crash.

The coroner’s office said in a press release that Grand Junction resident Alexandria Starkweather, 40, died from injuries sustained in the accident. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Colorado State Patrol is overseeing the investigation.
