Do you think they’ve finally read all the news stories talking about illegals and criminals on their platform?
Take this one, for instance, by Fox 17 News, “GOP senators sound alarm on illegal migrants ‘hijacking’ food delivery services.” In the article it says, “The danger to Americans — and specifically consumers using your services — is real,” the senators wrote. “These illegal immigrants are delivering food directly to consumers’ doors without ever having undergone a background check and often without even using their real names.”
“Deliveries routinely occur late into the night, compounding the dangerous situation, and — if the unimaginable happened — there would be little to no way to track the immigrant or bring them to justice,” they added.
The article concludes with a statement saying, “DoorDash said in a statement to TND Saturday “there is no place on the DoorDash platform for those that can’t or won’t verify their identity.”
As a DoorDash driver myself, I can verify FIRSTHAND that this is not true. I believe DoorDash turns a blind eye to illegals on their platform because it serves them to have people on the platform who are new and don’t really know how it works. DoorDash offers no training to their independent contractors, so you kind of have to figure everything out on your own.
Before the migrant crisis, it was easy to earn a living on DoorDash. One could easily make $20 to $30 an hour. These days, because of an influx of illegals taking over the platform with multiple fake accounts, some even having 3 or 4 phones working at the same time, it is not even possible to earn minimum wage.
Also, these people make it difficult for anyone else to pick up an order around them because they have phone jammers, hacking devices, and bots that keep other drivers from taking orders around them.
I’ll pick up an order on Uber Eats, and even head toward the restaurant, and the order will be stolen from me. All of sudden, the order disappears on my phone. You try to contact support and they read from a script, saying “I’m sorry,” most of the time, but never really fixing anything, to the point where you want to pull all your hair out from frustration.
Same thing on Walmart Spark deliveries. I started working for Spark in 2018, before the migrant crisis. It was beautiful. You could easily support your family with it. Now, I can’t get an order to save my life.
There is only one Walmart location that checks I.D.s. The rest of the Walmart locations in my area turn a blind eye. Most Walmart customers do not tip, and most tip bait (take their tip back after the order is delivered), and even when some customers do tip, Walmart takes it away for no good reason.
There are illegals working at a certain Walmart location and the same drivers get loaded up with groceries in their vehicles. While the other drivers sit in their car for hours without being acknowledged. Also, the same type of drivers (Walmart shoppers) can walk into Walmart in and out all day doing shopping orders, while someone who is legal can sit in the parking lot all day without an order. Also, I’ve picked up Walmart orders before and been on my way to the store and all of a sudden, the order disappears on the app.
I’ve seen the Instagram and Facebook accounts where people are selling DoorDash accounts and the bots needed to hack into the system and steal orders. They don’t even try to hide it. What arrogance!
So I’ll the question again, if you are a dasher on DoorDash do you feel safe?If you are a customer of DoorDash do you feel safe?Let me know your thoughts in the comment section!
