Surge of IDF Airstrikes Batter 400 Hezbollah Targets

On Saturday, Israel Defense Forces declared two more waves of airstrikes against Hezbollah targets, all while the IDF Command got ready to move forward with Israel’s aggressive policy, with the goal of returning all evacuated northern Israeli residents to their homes.

That night, Daniel Hagari, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. declared special circumstances on their Home Front, announcing "Alert Level 2" in Haifa’s north settlements.

That means workplaces and schools will just be permitted to open if a shelter may be reached inside of a pre-defined time. Also, gatherings in open places and buildings are restricted.

The IDF, after the overnight elimination of sixteen senior Hezbollah commanders, declared the closing of Israeli airspace to civilian aircraft within the northern region of the country in order to improve the capabilities of the aerial defense array’s radar.

By the afternoon, the army alerted northern Israeli residents to remain close to their bomb shelters and anticipate more nearby rocket fire.

Immediately, the IDF declared the beginning of a wave of airstrikes that ultimately struck about 400 targets and over the next few hours, attacked multitudes of launcher barrels.

Despite these airstrikes, the terror group was able to launch ninety rockets in 4 barrages, and targeted numerous regions around the Golan Heights, and the Upper and Western Galilee area.

The majority of the rockets were intercepted or they landed inside open spaces without leading to any casualties. In Kadita, close to Safed, a rocket hit someone’s house, and caused it to catch on fire.

The rockets caused multiple fires in Safed, with one wildfire inside the Biriya Forest burning all through the night.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, on Saturday night, emphasized a statement that he published on Friday night, after the beginning of the Jewish Sabbath, stating “Our goals are clear and our actions speak for themselves.”

Uri Gordin,  Northern Command head Maj.-Gen. held a situation evaluation and got a chance to visit soldiers of the 769th and 300th Brigade on the north side of the border.
