Jason Derulo Says Diddy Is 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty'

Jason Derulo weighed in on the severe accusations of Diddy. Derulo, 34, who was offered a leg up in the music business by Combs, appeared to defend Diddy with his comments. P. Diddy was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking and is presently behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Recently, Jason was questioned by a reporter. According to the clip the reporter said she knows Jason worked with P. Diddy and that he has helped his career a lot. She asked him if he thought that people ought to be giving Diddy some grace, or giving him the grace in stating that Diddy is innocent until proven guilty.

Briefly pausing, Jason said, “I believe in innocent until proven guilty."

The heat was on for Combs as his lavished homes came under scrutiny last March, when agents with the Department of Homeland Security rushed his Miami and Los Angeles estates. According to reports, they were acting on a few leads that were connected to a probe on sex trafficking.

According to one Homeland Security spokesperson, they confirmed that HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) of NY executed actions  by law enforcement as a part of a continuous investigation, with help from their local law enforcement partners, HSI Miami, and HSI Los Angeles. They added that they would offer more details as it became available.

In defense of P. Diddy, lawyer Aaron Dyer expressed annoyance by the tactics of law enforcement. According to Dyer, he said that it was a gross misuse of military-level force when search warrants were executed at Sean Combs' estates. And that there was no excuse for this excessive hostility and show of force provided by law enforcement or the way his employees and children were treated.

Diddy’s attorney also went on to condemn this raid as a smear campaign against Mr. Combs. According to Dyer the unprecedented ambush -- along with a coordinated, advanced media presence -- led to a premature rush toward judgment of Combs and isn’t anything more than a witch hunt that is based upon meritless accusations that are made in civil suits. He added that there hasn’t been any finding of civil or criminal liability with any of those allegations. Combs is innocent and will continually fight each day to clear his name.
