Kelly Clarkson’s Rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” Blows Fans Away

Last week, Kelly Clarkson blew fans away with her amazing "Kellyoke" performance of 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion. 

The episode of the 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' was shared around social networks and the rendition went viral, and left viewers in awe, sparking excitement that is, to this day, still going strong.

Clarkson did not mean to upstage Dion with her rendition

Clarkson, who made Kellyoke a fixture on her talk show, has a reputation for turning the tunes she covers into something all her own.

In the process, she has put singers on edge, realizing her powerhouse vocals may just outperform the original ones, according to Daily Mail.

But, when it pertained to 'My Heart Will Go On', Kelly did not have the goal of outdoing Celine. As a matter of fact, she holds the artist in the highest regard.

According to Kelly, she would not usually cover that ballad because there are some tunes you do not want to touch as a vocalist. She added that there was a reason why she did on that day.

So what was the reason? Kate Winslet, star of ‘Titanic,’ was set to appear on her show so she could promote her new movie, 'Lee'. Kelly could not resist honoring one of film’s most famous songs.

In 2022, Celine, (who was diagnosed with SPS (stiff person syndrome), a rare autoimmune disorder, affecting the nervous system), went back on stage during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

Kelly, who was a commentator of the Olympics, was noticeably moved to tears after Celine's return performance. 

Viewers go crazy over Clarkson's ‘My Heart Will Go On’ cover

Viewers quickly flooded to social media and praised her, many saying that Clarkson’s cover was better than the original.

Kelly's impressive rendition of the ballad is just the most recent in her series of incredible covers.

Viewers will not need to wait long, either. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jason Halbert, her music director, said that the following couple of weeks are jam-packed with thrilling Kellyoke moments.

Halbert added that now, within the next 6 weeks, they have 4 different Chappell Roan renditions coming, and he guarantees that it’s because Kelly is connecting with the story in these moments.
