Lainey Wilson Opens Up About Boyfriend Devlin Hodges

Lainey Wilson shared a glimpse into her personal life with her boyfriend Devlin Hodges, and revealed that there "ain't nowhere" she would rather be than with him.

The Instagram video showed the couple sitting close to one another in a 4x4 while driving through a bumpy forest near a lake. Capturing the video from the vehicle’s rear view mirror, the couple was all smiles and Devlin, a.k.a. Duck, leaned into Lainey.

Both of them were wearing baseball caps, with Wilson tying her hair back into the cap.

Devlin formerly played for the NFL then turned to real estate agent.

In 2021, the couple met when Devlin played for the Steelers; however, their lives would take a turn in different directions, as Wilson's singing career exploded and Devlin left the NFL, then signed with Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks.

According to Zane Lowe, Lainey said that it was like Duck’s life was changing at the same time that her life was changing and they were going in different directions. But in 2022 Duck retired from sports and they had the ability to concentrate on their relationship.

Lainey told Zane, ‘He is a good person. He is my biggest cheerleader.’

In 2023, the pair went public, after Duck started constantly retweeting posts that praised Wilson for her artistry. Also, he retweeted one of her fan’s posts about her dressed in his jersey at a concert. In another tweet he said, "Shooting my shot".

Fans were delighted, when Wilson responded to the tweet with, "This is me hollering." Duck then responded, "Oh my God. Hello."

Then, that moment led to their first appearance in public when he was Lainey’s date for the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards.
