Liam Payne’s death at 31 years of age has left people in the music industry and fans heartbroken; however, the moments leading up to Liam’s deadly plunge from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires are extremely disturbing.

Liam, former member of One Direction, made a bone-chilling confession to someone just a few minutes before the tragic fall. According to Daily Mail, he said ‘I’m so f*****d up [because] I used to be in a boy band.’ It sparked questions as to his state of mind in his final hours.

Payne last engaged with Rebecca, an American IT consultant

IT consultant from Washington DC, Rebecca, became one of the final people to engage with Payne before his untimely death.

In an interview, she shared the chilling details of the encounter with Liam at the hotel in Buenos Aires. According to Rebecca’s account, Liam was displaying “disturbing and weird behavior” in their short meeting, which left her shaken.

She described how Liam, who’d been staying in the hotel with his own entourage, sparked up a conversation with her and some friends. Without her asking, he went ahead and introduced himself, apparently desperate for recognition.

According to Rebecca, she and her friends were not aware of who Liam was at first; however, his behavior rapidly gained their attention.

In a bizarre display, Liam welcomed them into the elevator, and made inappropriate statements. saying, ‘Yes, I’m Liam!’ then, ‘Get in the elevator with me.’ Rebecca made the choice to stay off the elevator, but a few other people got into the elevator with him.

The interaction then took a dark turn. Liam, seemed agitated, and grabbed a woman into the elevator and pretended that he was choking her.

Rebecca remembered the unsettling situation. According to Rebecca, Liam started to lightly fake choke the woman, but the other people on the elevator thought it was very disturbing.

Payne’s outburst shocked other hotel staff and guests

Payne’s erratic behavior did not stop there. After the incident in the elevator, Rebecca went back to the lobby and saw another bizarre episode.

Liam appeared once again, this time with a laptop casually dangling from one corner. She observed Liam acting agitated while he read emails. She observed something unusual about how the laptop was set up, and described it as being in a visually impaired accessibility setting.

She explained that she had a blind relative, so she recognized what was going on. The computer was speaking out loud, and Liam seemed to desire attention from everybody around.

But, things took a drastic turn when Liam opened up an email that noticeably upset him. Rebecca recalled that suddenly, Liam shouted, ‘F**k this s**t mate!’ and began to bash the laptop onto the ground.

Liam’s angry outburst shocked other people around him, who were left concerned and confused by his erratic behavior.

Liam’s struggle with fame, as well as its impact upon his mental health became uncomfortably apparent during the encounter. Even though Rebecca and others felt uneasy, Liam’s entourage did not do much to alleviate the situation.

One of the men who was with Liam, a British man whom Rebecca thought to be named Roger, later on came up to her and apologized.

Roger reportedly said ‘I am sorry, he… gets so high sometimes.’ It fueled speculation even more about Liam’s potential substance use and mental state.
