    LINCOLN CITY, Ore. – The Lincoln City Police Department (LCPD) is excited to welcome Officer Sean Nieto as the newest member of its Patrol Division. Officer Nieto was officially sworn in on Thursday, August 29th, by Lt. Eric Henderson, marking a significant addition to the department's ranks.

    Officer Nieto comes to LCPD as a lateral hire with nearly five years of law enforcement experience. In his previous role, he served as a Patrol Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Field Training Officer. He also earned his Intermediate Certification from the Department of Safety and Standards Training (DPSST), showcasing his dedication to the field.

    Beyond his law enforcement background, Officer Nieto has a distinguished military career, having served seven years in the U.S. Army. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from American Military University and is planning to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in the near future.

    When asked about his decision to join LCPD, Officer Nieto shared that he “wanted to expand his horizons in the profession and looks forward to the opportunities LCPD will present to him.”

    The department is thrilled to have Officer Nieto on board and is confident that his experience and commitment will greatly benefit both LCPD and the Lincoln City community.
