    Tragic Motorcycle Crash on US 95 Near Riggins Claims Two Lives—Neither Victim Wearing Helmets

    RIGGINS, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on US 95 near milepost 213 on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The crash claimed the lives of a 52-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, both from White Bird, Idaho.

    At approximately 1:30 p.m., the motorcycle, heading northbound, crossed the centerline and veered off the road, colliding with a hillside. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing helmets, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.

    The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office assisted ISP in handling the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
