FEDERAL WAY, WA — A single-vehicle collision early Sunday morning on southbound I-5 near SR-161 resulted in one person being injured. The Washington State Patrol responded to the crash at 4:05 AM, where a 2007 Honda Accord struck the guardrail, blocking the roadway for over an hour and a half.

The driver, identified as Francisca Lumumba, 36, of Tacoma, WA, lost control of the vehicle when the wheels went off the roadway, leading to the accident. Lumumba was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was transported to Harborview Medical Center with injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

The vehicle was totaled and later towed by NFS Towing. No drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, and no other vehicles or pedestrians were affected.
