HOUSTON (1080 KRLD)- Questions are being raised about medical equipment in a Houston school where an 8th grade boy collapsed this week.

The question is whether the Defibrillator at Marshal Elementary School was working or not. Jackie Anderson is president of the Houston Federation of Teachers and says the 8th grader was playing basketball, Wednesday.

The Houston school district has confirmed that the boy died. Anderson says she's waiting for answers about the defibrillator but says she hopes other schools use this as a warning to test their equipment.
