    Texas child aced the STAAR exam with perfect scores

    A Texas student has done the unbelievable and gotten a perfect score on every facet of the STAAR test.

    Jake Hawks of Abilene, who's in eighth grade this year, made a perfect sweep of Texas's standardized test last year. His parents say Jake has been in gifted and talented programs since elementary school, and one of his teachers says he's a case of "iron sharpens iron," challenging his peers to be better as well.

    Jake says he hopes to one day be an engineer and an inventor.
