Friday will be the warmest day over the next week with afternoon highs reaching the low 90s. There may be a few showers later in the day.

The weather change arrives around dinnertime in the form of a cold front. A few scattered showers may develop along the front as it moves through between 6 and 9 p.m. Skies will clear behind the front and temperatures will fall into the low to mid 60s by daybreak Saturday.

Plenty of sunshine Saturday with highs in the low 80s. Temperatures will fall anywhere between 53 and 61 degrees on Sunday morning. There will be plenty of sunshine during the afternoon with highs in the mid-80s -- below average for this time of the year.

Next week starts dry and comfortable. Morning lows will dip into the 50s to low 60s on Monday with afternoon highs in the middle 80s.

A bit warmer on Tuesday with more  sunshine. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.

North Texas could see a few scattered showers around on Wednesday and Thursday. The greatest chances will be in far East Texas and the Mississippi River Valley. Afternoon highs with cloud cover will hold in the low to mid-80s.
