A Florida driver is facing charges after leaving a motorcyclist seriously injured at the scene of a crash and fleeing with the bike wedged under her SUV.

Police say Rebekah Tate and the motorcyclist were involved in collision, but Tate took off and was later seen on surveillance footage trying to get the motorcycle out from under her SUV.

The victim suffered broken bones and other injuries.

A woman who claims to be the victim's mother posted a reply on the West Melbourne Police Department's Facebook page -

I am the victim’s mother and I couldn’t care less what her circumstances were. She left my son to die in the middle of the road. She has been caught on video tampering with evidence and trying to hide. My son was in the ICU on a ventilator. It will take 6 months to a year, if not longer for him to walk normally again. IF he ever does. I have ZERO sympathy for this woman and I look forward to seeing her pay for what she did to my son.

Florida, where people take other people's lives because they can.

😂... she flew the scene knowing she committed a crime, motorcycle under her vehicle, License plates would eventually lead back to her, and cowardly she didn't want to accept accountability for her wrong doing... now that she's caught forced to accept accountability I wonder how apologetic she is now... 😂
