The Dallas Cowboys kicked off their 2024 season with a 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns, fueled by a strong first-half performance from quarterback Dak Prescott and key contributions from special teams in the second half.

Prescott completed 14-of-21 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown in the first half but found the going tougher later on. He ended the game with 19 completions on 32 attempts for 179 yards and a single touchdown.

In his postgame press conference, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy described the second half as "sloppy" but praised the team's overall effort in securing the win. Prescott echoed McCarthy’s self-criticism, expressing dissatisfaction with his own play despite the Week 1 victory.
