Tuesday morning will be the last cool morning for a while. There is a slight rain chance on Wednesday, and then temperatures heat up toward the end of the week, with the possibility of a 100-degree day on Saturday.

Tuesday started with temperatures across North Texas in the 50s again. It's the last of the 50s we'll see for a while. It will be mostly sunny Tuesday with high temperatures approaching 90 degrees. That's right at average for this time of the year.

Wednesday, high clouds will increase rapidly from the southeast ahead of what is soon to become Hurricane Francine. There could be a couple of outer bands sneaking in from the east across North Texas Wednesday afternoon and evening. There is a slightly better rain chance in east Texas. Due to the cloud cover over parts of North Texas, there'll be a big temperature range for highs. Readings will range from 80-90 degreees.

Francine will continue to make northeast progress into south-central Louisiana during the day on Thursday. There still may be some high clouds across the eastern half of North Texas and a few showers. Afternoon highs will reach near 90.

An area of high pressure will strengthen over North Texas Friday through the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs on Friday in the low 90s. Mid to upper 90s on Saturday, low to mid 90s on Sunday. There's also a slight chance of rain late Sunday evening.

Monday will be a seasonable day with afternoon highs near 90 degrees. There's also a slight chance of rain.
