ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- A couple of police departments in North Texas are making arrests in connection to the number of threats that have been made to schools in Texas.

Arlington police arrested three people for making threats against schools including an 18-year-old - who is not a student.

Police say Arlington High School got word about a threat posted on social media. Police were able to track the post to

Kevin Martinez-Molina. Police talked to him Thursday night and he admitted to them it was a prank. Police didn't think it was very funny - they arrested him and booked him on one count of Terroristic Threat, which is a felony.

Police arrested a second person, a Gunn Junior High student for making a verbal threat against the school. Several people heard it, were concerned and reported it.  He was also charged with Terroristic Threat to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center. The third arrest was a Lamar High School student who sent a message threatening violence against a staff member. They were also charged with Terroristic Threat and transported to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center. Due to their ages, neither of the two juveniles' names can be released.

In Wylie police arrested a 16-year-old accused of threatening to shoot up his school. Police say they got two calls Thursday night from a Whataburger about a teen who was there acting "suspicious." When officers got there they discovered he made the school threats and had been expelled from school.

The witnesses told police they also attend Wylie East High School and feared for their lives. Officers took the teen into custody for Terroristic Threat Causing Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury, but have since upgraded the charge to Threat to Use Firearm at school.

And Frisco police say a student at Hunt Middle School has been taken into custody, for a threat made on social media. Police worked with the school district and said the threat was not credible.
