There are always highway construction projects underway in North Texas, and they often result in nightly freeway closures where road work is being done. Check out the list below to know what roads to avoid if you have plans to be out late.
RED ALERT - DUNCANVILLE - EB & WB I-20 between Camp Wisdom Road and Hampton Road ALL LANES WILL BE CLOSED along with all exit ramps from NB & SB Hwy 67 overnight from 10 pm - 5 am on Friday, 9/27 and Saturday, 9/28, traffic will be diverted to the service road.
RED ALERT - WAXAHACHIE - SB I-35E at Butcher Road ALL LANES WILL BE CLOSED overnight from 10:30 pm - 6 am on Monday, 9/23, traffic will be diverted to the service road.
RED ALERT - VENUS/MIDLOTHIAN - NB & SB Hwy 67 between Patriot Pkwy and Railport Pkwy ALL LANES WILL BE CLOSED due to slow moving road repair operations from 9 pm - 65 am on Thursday, 9/26.
TRAVEL ADVISORY - FORT WORTH/MID CITIES - EB & WB N. Loop 820/121/183 between Beach Street and Industrial Drive ALL TEXpress LANES and MAIN LANES WILL BE CLOSED at various times nightly from 7:30 pm - 5:30 am through Thursday, 9/26, and from 7:30 pm - 10 am on Friday, 9/27 and Saturday, 9/81, traffic will be either directed to the service road or redirected to the TEXpress lanes at no cost.
RICHARDSON/PLANO - NB & SB 75 between Spring Valley Road and Plano Pkwy the left lane will be closed daily from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm through Saturday, 9/28.
PLANO/ALLEN - NB & SB 75 between Renner Road and Ridgeview Drive the left lane will be closed daily from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm and multiple right lanes will be closed nightly from 9 pm - 5 am through Friday, 9/27.
BALCH SPRINGS - NB & SB 635 between Lake June Road and Seagoville road multiple lanes will be closed nightly from 9 pm - 5 am through Friday, 9/27.
HENDRIX - EB & WB I-30 between FM 1565 and FM 2170 the left lane will be closed nightly from 8 pm - 5 am through Thursday, 9/26.
FORT WORTH - NB & SB E. Loop 820 between Glenview Dr/Pipeline Rd and Trinity Blvd various lanes will be closed nightly from 9 pm - 6 am through Sunday, 9/29.
FORT WORTH - NB & SB 121 between Handley-Ederville Rd and Hwy 10 will be reduced to one lane nightly from 9 pm - 6 am through Sunday, 9/29.
FORT WORTH - NB SW Loop 820 between Aledo Road and I-30 multiple lanes will be nightly from 9 pm - 5 am through Thursday, 9/26.
MOUNTAIN CREEK - EB I-20 between the Bush Turnpike and Mountain Creek Parkway various lane will be closed nightly from 9 pm - 5 am on Monday, 9/23.
DALLAS - NB Dallas North Tollway between University Blvd and Northwest Hwy two lanes will be closed nightly from 7 pm - 5 am through Friday, 9/27.
FERRIS - SB I-45 at E. 8th Street (FM 660) the center and right lane will be closed nightly from 8 pm - 6 am through Thursday, 9/26.
CORSICANA - SB I-45 at SW Country Road 0020 the left lane will be closed from 8 am - 5 pm on Monday, 9/23.
MABANK - EB 175 between Oakmont Drive and the Henderson County Line the left lane will be closed continuously from 7 am on Monday, 9/23 through 7 am on Saturday, 9/28.
MANSFIELD - NB & SB Hwy 287 between Lone Star Road and Heritage Pkwy various single lanes will be closed daily from 9 am - 3 pm through Friday, 9/27 and from 7 am - 5 pm on Saturday, 9/28.
HUDSON OAKS/ALEDO - EB I-20 between the right lane will be closed daily from 9 am - 3 pm through Friday, 9/27.
SOUTHEAST CONNECTOR PROJECT
Highway Closure: Westbound I-20 closed at I-820. 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 28.
Right lane closed on northbound I-820 at US 287. 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 30.
Southbound US 287 reduced to one lane at Little Rd. 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 30.
Left lane closed on I-820 northbound between I-20 and US 287. 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Sept. 24.
