Rain is still in the forecast over the next day and a half, with much cooler temperatures through the end of the week.

There were some showers and storms south of DFW on Tuesday morning. This rain will stay south of Interstate 20, causing some slowdowns on the interstates coming inbound from the south and southeast. Temperatures are mainly in the 60s. There is some patchy dense fog to the north and northwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The rain to the south should move out by early afternoon. Afternoon highs Tuesday will reach the mid to upper 80s.

A strong disturbance moves into the area after midnight through noon on Wednesday, bringing a good chance for showers and storms across the area. Expect some delays for the Wednesday morning commute. The rain will press south of us during the day with afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Thursday looks fantastic with highs in the mid-80s. Clouds increase on Friday and Saturday with highs near 80 on Friday, and low 80s on Saturday. There may even be a few showers trying to sneak in from the northeast on Friday.

Sunday and Monday look equally nice with warming temperatures. Mid-80s on Sunday, pushing 90 degrees by Monday. It will be beautiful for the opening weekend of the State Fair of Texas.
