It's always a big game when Texas plays OU at the Cotton Bowl, and that means big-time money. But this year, it's expected to be a record-breaker.

Last year the Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma Sooners game generated $51 million worth of economic impact, but Monica Paul with the Dallas Sports Commission says that number could grow even more this year because both schools entered the South Eastern Conference.

"This year with the game being pushed back to a 2:30 start, we're anticipating more people to participate and come out," Paul says.

Since it's later in the day, Paul suggests that even people without Cotton Bowl tickets can still come and change their minds at the fair. It also could be the SEC influence.

You can catch the big game live here on KRLD Saturday, or join KRLD for the official watch party at Longhorn Icehouse Saturday, starting at 1:30. Plus the team will have tickets to give away for the Texas/Georgia game on Oct. 19th.
