Temperatures will remain below average until this weekend, and then summer number four arrives. The next cold front will arrive at the end of the month, and it's still too early to say if we'll see any rain with it.

Temperatures across North Texas were in the 40s Thursday morning. There's even a few rural towns in the upper 30s. There will be plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs in the low 70s. The wind will slowly return to the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

The surface high pressure will continue to drift east of the Mississippi River as the lee-side trough develops in eastern Colorado and New Mexico. This will cause our pressure gradient, or wind, to increase Friday through midweek next week. Combined with the very dry conditions worsening across North Texas, this will create a very high grass fire danger, lasting at least through the middle of next week.

As the southeast winds pick up, the temperatures will continue to warm up. Plenty of sunshine on Friday with afternoon highs in the mid-70s. Sunny, breezy, and warmer this weekend with highs approaching 80 degrees. This is close to average for this time of the year. Mornings will be cool with readings mainly in the 50s.

A few more clouds will start to drift in the area Sunday through Wednesday of next week with warming temperatures. The grass fire danger will continue as well. There will be a bunch of rain over the weekend in West Texas, especially the Panhandle, but unfortunately, North Texas won't see anything through next week. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-80s on Monday, mid-80s on Tuesday, and upper 80s by Wednesday.

Ezekiel 36-39:Mentions the restoration of Israel and warns against nations that would attempt to harm them, promising their downfall. What nations did God tell the Israelites to destroys He'll drive out the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. Those seven nations are larger and stronger than you are. 2The Lord your God will hand them over to you. You will win the battle over them.Jeremiah 14:2[2]Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.Joel 3:7-9[7]Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:[8]And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
