GoFundMe Fundraiser Benefits Young Victim of Owatonna Hit & Run
Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News) -A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to assist the family of a young child who was severely injured by a hit and run driver earlier this week. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Owatonna and led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Owatonna man. Scott Pfeifer was formally charged Thursday with a felony count of criminal vehicular operation and other charges for allegedly striking 2-year-old Anastasia Westphall as she was being carried across a street by a family friend. The charges allege Pfeifer did not stop and later went to a carwash to clean his pickup truck.
Lakeville Police Report Arrest in Murder Investigation
Lakeville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Lakeville Police Department is reporting an arrest for the murder of a woman yesterday in the far southern Twin Cities suburb. A news release says the victim was found after Lakeville police officers were called to a home in Lakeville to investigate a report of a "significant amount of blood" found inside the residence. The responding officers located a deceased woman in the home.

Elderly Man Injured in SE Minnesota Rollover Crash
Millville, MN (KROC-AM News) - An elderly Millville man was transported to St. Mary's Hospital following a single vehicle crash this morning. The State Patrol says 85-year-old Glenn Becklund was driving on Highway 60 in Wabasha County when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled. The crash was reported just before 10:45 AM near where the highway intersects with Wabasha County Road 11 next to the Spring Creek Motocross Park about 5 miles northwest of Millville.

MN State Patrol – Unbelted Motorist Killed in Early Morning Crash
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded to a fatal crash early this morning in St. Paul. Limited information about the deadly incident is available, but the State Patrol says it involved a pickup truck that was traveling east on a I-94 when it veered off the freeway and crashed into the guard rail. St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Primary elections are now needed to narrow the field of candidates for two more election races in Rochester. The Minnesota Secretary of State's Office is reporting that Becca Dyer Tesch has filed for the 6th Ward seat on the Rochester City Council, joining Mark Schleusner and Dan Doering as candidates for the position currently held by Molly Dennis, who has yet to announce whether she plans to run for reelection in November.
