According to Down Detector, user reports indicate problems at T-Mobile. Per Down Detector, Bay Area cities are the most reported locations of the reception issues – San Francisco, Daly City, Vallejo, San Jose, Santa Rosa, San Mateo and Oakland. There have also been reports of reception disturbances in Phoenix, Arizona.

Many commenters on the Down Detector website have reported that the outage is throughout Northern California.

The service was restored as of 10:20 a.m., according to T-Mobile.

A spokesperson from T-Mobile gave KRON4 an explanation for the outage, "A third-party vendor had a damaged fiber line and transport issue that caused interruptions in the San Francisco area for a short duration. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."
