    Light rain possible across the Bay Area this weekend

    SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — A band of clouds currently swirling over British Columbia is causing a cooling trend that could lead to a chance of light rain in the Bay Area this weekend, according to the National Weather Service . The cooling trend is expected to begin Thursday night.

    According to KRON4 Meteorologist John Shrable , Thursday will see partly cloudy skies that will lead up to at least a chance of rain for most of the Bay Area later Friday into early Saturday.

    According to the NWS, areas with the highest percentage of a chance of light rain include San Francisco, Oakland, San Rafael and Santa Rosa. However, the weather service is emphasizing “light,” with less than a tenth of an inch expected in most areas.
