Man killed, woman injured in San Leandro domestic shooting

( KRON ) — A man was killed and a woman was shot in the leg after a domestic dispute in unincorporated San Leandro Tuesday night, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said.

ACSO responded to a home on the 16000 block of Carolyn Street for the report of the shooting. The woman who reported the shooting had a gunshot wound to her leg, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies also found an unresponsive man in his 40s who had a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Deputies provided medical aid, but the man died at the scene.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was hospitalized.

ACSO’s preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting was a result of a domestic dispute. There is no known threat to public safety, and the investigation is ongoing.
