BART experiences ‘major delay’ on Berryessa line Thursday

( KRON ) — BART reported a “major delay” on the Berryessa Line in the Berryessa, Daly City and Richmond directions Thursday morning, according to an advisory from the Bay Area Rapid Transit District.

The delay was set off by an “equipment problem on the track” at the Hayward train yard, BART officials said just before 5 a.m. There was a 20-minute delay as of 5:35 a.m. before BART revised the delay time to 10 minutes just before 6 a.m.

There is no estimated time for regular service to resume. No further details were immediately available.
