    Vallejo man arrested for early August homicide: police

    ( KRON ) – The Vallejo Police Department has arrested a suspect in the city’s 15th homicide of the year.

    At 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 1, Vallejo police officers responded to a shooting inside a business on the 2000 block of Solano Avenue. The responding officers located a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Police said they rendered aid to the victim before he was taken to a local hospital.

    Two days later, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died.

    Following the victim’s passing, VPD’s homicide detectives took over the investigation.

    VPD detectives identified 47-year-old Vallejo resident Fenton Dale Warren as the suspect in this homicide investigation.

    Police obtained a warrant for Warren’s arrest for the charge of murder on Aug. 21. Vallejo Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics arrested Warren in the 200 block of Couch Street.

    Warren was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail for suspicion of murder.
