(KRON) — San Francisco Police officers responded Friday afternoon to the scene of a man struck by a car in the city’s North Beach neighborhood.

2 arrests made in Antioch homicide investigation

Police arrived at Bay Street and Columbus Avenue at 4:12 p.m. for the report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. SFPD said officers rendered aid to the victim at the location, and medics took the man to the hospital for “life-threatening injuries.”

Investigators said the driver remained on scene. They do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash at this time.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
