Plane plummets in Novato airport, casualties unknown

( KRON ) – A plane crash occurred near the Gnoss Field Airport in Novato on Saturday.

The crash involved an Aero Commander 200D airplane that crashed into a hangar shortly after takeoff at 3:50 p.m., according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

It is undermined how many people were on the plane and how many casualties there were.

The NTSB said an investigator is set to begin an investigation on Sunday. The primary factors of the investigation are the pilot, the aircraft and the operating environment, according to the NTSB. The preliminary report will be completed within 30 days, according to the NTSB.
