Robbery suspects found by OPD helicopter: police

(KRON) – Authorities arrested two robbery suspects on Friday, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Oakland police officers noticed a stolen vehicle that was reportedly used in a robbery in the 7300 block of MacArthur Boulevard. According to OPD, the robbery took place in the 5600 block of College Avenue around 5 p.m.

OPD utilized the department’s helicopter to locate the suspects.

The two occupants of the vehicle fled out of the car on foot.

Police said officers quickly detained the suspects.

OPD said the investigation is still active. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPD’s robbery section at (510) 238-3326. Anyone with videos or photos that could assist with the investigation is asked to send them to cidvideos@oaklandca.gov.
