    San Jose police officer killed armed suspect, victim hospitalized

    SAN JOSE, Calif. ( KRON ) – An individual accused of shooting a person was shot and killed by an officer, according to the San Jose Police Department.

    The suspect was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, according to police.

    The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. at the 7-Eleven in the 4200 block of Senter Road. San Jose PD received multiple calls regarding a shooting in the area.

    Police told KRON4 that the suspect who was shot struck someone with gunfire prior to the officer’s arrival. According to San Jose PD, the victim in is in critical, but stable condition.

    San Jose PD confirmed that no police officers were injured in this incident.

    It is unclear why the officer shot the suspect.
