Driver dies in crash while trying to ‘practice’ with new motorcycle in Fremont parking lot: PD

( KRON ) — A person who had just bought a new motorcycle crashed and died while they tried to “practice” with their new vehicle in a parking lot Sunday morning, the Fremont Police Department said.

Officers responded to the 6900 block of Dumbarton Circle at 9:25 a.m. for the report of an injured motorcyclist. The cyclist was found unresponsive and died at the scene, police said.

A police investigation revealed that the driver had just bought the motorcycle and took it to the parking lot to practice. They crashed after striking a tree.

Police do not believe drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the crash.
