Opening date set for long-awaited Chick-fil-A in Concord

( KRON ) — The Chick-fil-A in Concord is finally opening. The location at the Willows Shopping Center is opening next Thursday, Sept. 19.

KRON4 first reported in December that the Georgia-based fast-food chain would open its first location in Concord. Construction of that location first began in September of 2023, and Chick-fil-A is set to open one year later.

According to state documents, construction of the restaurant located at 1981 Diamond Blvd. was scheduled to be completed sometime after March 1.

The Concord location would be the Bay Area’s 27th Chick-fil-A.

The fast food chain famous for its chicken sandwich continues its expansion in the Bay Area as it opened its first South Bay location last month in Gilroy .

Willows Shopping Center is also home to other chains such as Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, Jamba Juice and Panera Bread. It is located near The Veranda shopping center.
