Police officers responded to Geary Boulevard and Masonic Avenue streets in San Francisco at about 4:40 p.m. on reports of a collision between a MUNI bus and a pedestrian.

Police and San Francisco Fire Department officials arrived at the scene and found the injured male pedestrian with their leg trapped under “an SFMTA bus wheel.”

Emergency crews were able to un-trap the man through extrication, SFPD said.

SFPD told KRON4 that paramedics transported the man to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries were “non-life-threatening.” No other injuries were reported, police said.

Geary Boulevard and Masonic Avenue streets were temporarily closed and reopened at around 6 p.m., the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management said.

man was doing a pet store run. decided to knock on a moving busses door and walk with it while knocking. he slipped and his leg was crushed under the back right tire. I was there at the masonic target area after it happened. they really need to be more detailed in these articles so people don't think it's a suicide attempt or a person on substances etc he was just a normal guy who did what I wish no one would do and that is approach a bus after its doors are closed and it's already moving.
