    Dumpster fire in San Rafael threatens vehicles, building

    ( KRON ) — Firefighters responded to a fire at a large dumpster just after midnight on Tuesday in San Rafael, the San Rafael Police Department said on X . The fire broke out in the area of Bellam Boulevard and Andersen Drive.

    Video posted by SRPD (above) shows flames coming out of a parking with several vehicles.

    The fire was threatening a building and multiple parked vehicles, according to SRPD. The fire was eventually brought under control by the San Rafael Fire Department.

    Bellam Boulevard was temporarily shut down but has since been reopened.

    No injuries were reported, SRPD said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. SRPD posted about the fire on X at 10:54 a.m. on Tuesday.
