( KRON ) – If you believe the Bay Area has the best restaurants, then well The New York Times agrees. The publication just released its “Best Restaurant List” and three eateries in the Bay Area are on it.

Four Kings, located in Chinatown, describes its offerings as “flavors of Hong Kong hangin’ on ya taste buds” with “90’s Cantopop bangin’ on ya eardrums.”

The NYT said Four Kings brings “much-needed fire” to the SF dining experience. The newspaper commends the chefs Franky Ho and Mike Long on the eatery’s “spot-on vibes and energetic dishes.”

This is not the first ‘Best Restaurants’ list Four Kings has made this year, despite only being open for less than a year. Bon Appetit listed the Chinese eatery as one of the best new restaurants of the year .

Another SF eatery that made the cut is based in the Jackson Square Neighborhood and has been in business for more than twenty years.

The New York Times calls Quince a “master class in the NorCal culinary vernacular.” According to Quince’s website, Chef Tusk’s approach to food is “refined and contemporary, taking immense pride in offering guests a unique opportunity to taste exceptional ingredients at their purest.”

This three-Michelin-star restaurant is a bit pricey, but according to their website, the food is locally sourced from a “dedicated network of Northern California purveyors.”

The last Bay Area eatery to make the list is across the Bay Bridge… for now. Fikscue opened in November 2023 on Park Street in Alameda.

According to the NYT, the owners of Fikscue Craft Barbecue, Reka and Fik Saleh, developed a loyal fanbase selling their cuisine in pop-ups before opening the brick-and-mortar.

According to Fikscue’s website, the restaurant serves “halal Texas barbecue with Indonesian fusion dishes.” Per the NYT, Fikscue ’“weaves together the electric brightness and texture of Indonesia’s underrepresented cuisine with the stalwart comfort of barbecue.”

The BBQ spot is planning to open a location in San Francisco’s Thrive City that is slated to open in early 2025.
