VALLEJO, Calif. (KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department (VPD) said officers responded to the 400 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane Saturday after multiple reports of an argument between two men that escalated to one brandishing a large knife.

Woman killed in San Jose vehicle collision is 15th pedestrian death this year

VPD said when they arrived at the scene, the victim told officers that the suspect was “upset over a financial dispute” and drove to his home to confront him. During the dispute over the amount owed, the suspect allegedly grabbed a large knife from his vehicle then threatened to “kill the victim while making jabbing motions.”

Vallejo police said officers arrested the suspect after an eyewitness confirmed the victim’s account of the incident, and he was booked into the Solano County Jail.

VPD said they found the knife inside the suspect’s car and collected it for evidence.
