    California lottery player wins $2.3M, jackpot still up for grabs

    ( KRON ) — A person playing Powerball near the California/Nevada state line won $2.3 million in Wednesday’s drawing, according to the California Lottery website . The jackpot remains up for grabs, and it has risen to $364 million for the next drawing on Saturday.

    Saturday’s Powerball jackpot was $336 million, and while nobody won it, one person in Nipton, Calif. came close.

    The lucky player matched the five numbers drawn but did not get the Powerball number. That ticket goes for $2,321,838.

    The lucky ticket was sold at Primm Valley Lotto. Nipton is in San Bernardino County, located about 64 miles from Las Vegas.

    Another player got four of the five numbers and the Powerball number, which earned a prize of $42,219.

    The five numbers were 25, 32, 43, 53 and 66 for Wednesday’s drawing. The Powerball number was 10 .

    The next Powerball draw is at 7:59 p.m. PT on Saturday.
