‘Extremely unsanitary’ unlicensed Gilroy dentist arrested, police say

(KRON) — An unlicensed Gilroy dentist who used “extremely unsanitary” tools was arrested after several patients suffered serious dental issues, police said.

The dentist was identified by police as Luis Antonio Perez Juarez, aka “Dr. Antonio.” Investigators said he practiced dentistry without a license at Envios de Dinero Isabella Salon in Gilroy.

Gilroy Police Department detectives said they found unsanitary dental tools, including picks, syringes, mirrors, and excavators, at the salon.

Detectives are currently looking for additional patients who may have gone to “Dr. Antonio” for dental work.

“Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims of Perez Juarez. If anyone has additional information, or has received dental treatment from Perez Juarez, please contact ACT Detective Don Tong at 408-846-0357,” the police department wrote.
